The Sint-Elisabeth hospital Turnhout is a healthcare institution with a capacity of 369 recognised beds. In june 2009 a new building was brought into use.

Description | business case

The patient rooms are equipped with a multimedia technology: bedside terminals. With these pressure-sensitive screens, the Sint-Elizabeth hospital is the first hospital in Belgium to dispose of this technology.
In this respect Siemens, as supplier of the bedside terminals, asked hict to support the implementation.

Approach

hict performed the following work packages:

  • project management;
  • change management;
  • test routes and evaluation;
  • manuals especially for the patient and nurses;
  • training for nurses.

Result
